If you ask me when I knew I wanted, no NEEDED, to go to Paris, I would tell you I've never known anything else. It's been since before I can even remember. I could imagine walking the cobbled streets, smelling the baking bread, riding the old carousel, and sitting in a cafe eating french fries and just people watching on a sunny afternoon.
This April, I finally fulfilled that dream! From the moment I stepped off the train from London, I felt 'home'. It was everything I imagined and more! I was finding inspiration around every corner. I was soaking up as much of what I was experiencing as possible. I didn't want to miss a thing. I took SO MANY pictures, I'm certain I bored everyone else to death, but when I look at them, I can now imagine what is next to me and behind me, all the things the camera couldn't capture.
I knew that I needed to use these pictures in my work. The city was such an inspiration. When I returned, I picked a few images that really spoke to me and my experience and decided to create watercolor paintings. I'm certain I will use them for other new products, but they are first appearing on note cards. Follow the link to my Etsy shop to purchase them! Next up....London!
